HONG KONG (Reuters) - Shanghai Shenhua coach Gus Poyet, who resigned last week, had only been third or fourth choice for the job, the Chinese Super League club's chairman Wu Xiaohui said on Tuesday.
Poyet, a former Uruguay, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur midfielder, replaced Spaniard Gregorio Manzano ahead of the season to build on the club's third-placed finish last term.
