(Reuters) - Leicester City interim manager Craig Shakespeare gave short shrift to media reports suggesting a player revolt led to the sacking of Claudio Ranieri, nine months after the manager led the club to the Premier League title.
Senior players in the Leicester dressing room reportedly encouraged club owner Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha to sack Ranieri on Thursday, saying they had lost faith in the Italian's ability to guide them to league survival.
