PETALING JAYA: Both the Perak Football Association (PAFA) and Police are looking to hand their players – Firdaus Saiyadi and Shafiq Jamal – a lifeline.

The duo have been slapped with two-year bans by the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) disciplinary committee after testing positive for a banned substance in a Super League match between the two teams on May 4.
