THE match ended in a 0-0 draw, but world No. 195 Macau celebrated as if they had won. The higher-ranked Malaysians, world No. 166, were a picture of gloom – unable to finish off a side made up of mostly amateurs in front of their home fans at the Hang Jebat Stadium in Malacca on Tuesday. National coach Datuk Ong Kim Swee wanted to restore some pride after a three-match winless run, but failed miserably after their exit from the 2018 World Cup qualifying Asian Zone Group A campaign – with only four points from a win, a draw and six defeats.
