Pahang thumped but still remain top

PETALING JAYA: Leaders Pahang’s seven-match unbeaten run in the Super League came to a humiliating end as they were whipped 4-1 by defending champions Lions XII at the Jalan Besar Stadium.

Unbeaten since Feb 14, the Elephants started off well with Damion Stewart giving them the lead after only eight minutes. But the Singaporean side, coached by former great Fandi Ahmad, bounced back with Safuwan Baharuddin scoring the equaliser in the 29th minute.
