Jimenez is staying put: Johor FA

JOHOR BARU: The Johor Football Association (JFA) have denied speculation that former Kelantan coach Bojan Hodak has been lined up to replace current Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) manager Cesar Jimenez.

In a statement, posted on the Southern Tigers’ website, JFA confirmed that Spaniard Jimenez would not be leaving the team any time soon.

The statement also claimed that the players were happy and have embraced Jimenez’s tactics.

“We will not let such rumours disrupt the team’s focus in the ongoing football campaign.

“Jimenez has justified his credibility by steering the team to excellence and any decision to remove him at this stage of the season would be nonsense,” said the statement.

JFA also claimed that Bojan was at the Larkin and Pasir Gudang stadiums as a football lover. He had apparently been on holiday in Johor.

Bojan was spotted at the JDT and JDT II matches over the last few weeks, which has increased speculation that the Spaniard might be replaced.
