Team Sky's Landa abandons Giro d'Italia

(Reuters) - Spanish rider Mikel Landa was forced to abandon the Giro d'Italia during the 10th stage after falling ill with suspected viral gastroenteritis, Team Sky said on Tuesday.

"Unfortunately Mikel Landa has been forced to abandon the #Giro through illness. We will provide more details as soon as we have them," the British team posted on their Twitter feed.
