Sri Lanka spin ace Herath to retire after first England test

COLOMBO (Reuters) - Sri Lanka's Rangana Herath, the most successful left-arm spinner in test history, will retire after the series opener against England in Galle next month, the country's cricket board said on Monday.

The 40-year-old, who has been managing knee injuries for several years, will bring down the curtain on his glorious career at the same venue where he made his debut 19 years ago.
