COLOMBO (Reuters) - Sri Lankan pace bowler Nuwan Kulasekara quit test cricket on Wednesday in order to focus his attention on the sport's shorter formats, in which he is considered a greater threat with the ball.

"I would like to retire from playing test cricket with immediate effect," the 33-year-old said in a letter to Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC).
