Nicholls in line for test debut against Australia

WELLINGTON (Reuters) - Left-handed batsman Henry Nicholls is in line to make his test debut against Australia next week with Ross Taylor ruled out of the side for the match at the Basin Reserve with a side strain.

Nicholls has impressed in limited overs matches over the New Zealand summer and would likely slot into Taylor's position at number four in the batting line-up, one ahead of captain Brendon McCullum.
