GALLE (Reuters) – - Sri Lanka captain Angelo Mathews weathered a fiery spell of reverse swing bowling from Dayle Steyn to take his team past the follow-on mark on the third day of the first test against South Africa on Friday.
Mathews scored a defiant 89 off 182 balls with 14 fours and a six before, while attempting to shield the tail, he went for a slog sweep off Imran Tahir and was bowled.
