PETALING JAYA: For 20 minutes, the Malaysian juniors went toe-to-toe with their Filipino counterparts in the South-East Asian Basketball Association (SEABA) boys’ Under-16 Championship in Manila.

But the Filipinos’ superior physical attributes and the depth of their bench proved too much for Malaysia in the second half as the hosts romped home 83-62 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum yesterday.
