PETALING JAYA: Shuttler Soong Joo Ven declares he’s in the best shape of his life after finally lifting his maiden international title at the Malaysian International Series.

The 24-year-old top seed defeated compatriot Cheam June Wei 21-13, 22-20 in the men’s singles final that lasted 47 minutes at the Arena Badminton Perak in Ipoh yesterday.
