BUKIT JALIL: The hope for a title at the Celcom Axiata Malaysian Open now lies in the mixed doubles event as Chan Peng Soon-Goh Liu Ying and Tan Kian Meng-Lai Pei Jing are the only ones to have booked their places in the quarter-finals.

National No. 1 pair Peng Soon-Liu Ying kept their strong form from the first round as they beat Indonesian pair Ricky Karandasuwardi-Pia Zebediah Bernadet 21-13, 21-14 in the second round at the Axiata Arena here Thursday (April 4).
