PETALING JAYA: National boys’ singles shuttler Ng Tze Yong passed a stern test in overcoming Saran Jamsri of Thailand to set the Malaysian contingent off to a good start in the individual events of the World Junior Championships in Markham, Canada.
World No. 51 Tze Yong was stretched to the limit before prevailing 18-21, 21-13, 21-18 over No. 27 Saran in a 74-minute battle.
