KUALA LUMPUR: It was an anticlimactic end for Goh V Shem-Tan Wee Kiong when they fell apart in the men’s doubles final of the Perodua Malaysian Masters.

The world No. 24, seeking their first title on home soil, just couldn’t cross the finishing line when they squandered an 18-13 lead in the second game before losing 21-14, 22-24, 13-21 to Indonesia’s Fajar Alfian-Muhd Rian Ardianto at the Axiata Arena in Bukit Jalil yesterday.
