Zii Jia exits Bitburger Open in the semis

PETALING JAYA: Youngster Lee Zii Jia’s (pic) bid to reach his first Grand Prix Gold final came undone when he lost in the semi-finals of the Bitburger Open in Germany.

The 19-year-old, who also fell short in the Thailand Masters and Taiwan Open earlier this year, lost tamely 11-21, 12-21 to Denmark’s Rasmus Gemke at the Saarlandhalle Arena, Saarbrucken on Saturday.
