PETALING JAYA: The spirited performance of men’s doubles pair Goh Sze Fei-Nur Izzuddin Rumsani eased the pain of Malaysia’s 3-0 quarter-final loss to top seeds China in the Badminton Asia Mixed Team Championships in Vietnam.

World No. 48 Sze Fei-Izzuddin stole one game from world No. 6 Li Junhui-Liu Yuchen before going down 21-19, 20-22, 10-21 in an exciting deciding match of the quarter-final tie in Ho Chi Minh City yesterday.
