PETALING JAYA: Malaysia’s Lee Zii Jia came up short against Thailand’s Kantaphon Wangcharoen in the battle between last year’s two world junior championships bronze medallists at the Thailand Masters in Bangkok.
The 18-year-old Zii Jia failed in his bid to become the youngest Malaysian to reach a Grand Prix Gold final when he lost 21-15, 18-21, 20-22 to home favourite Kantaphon at the Nimibutur Stadium yesterday.
