Yesterday, the two battled their way to reach the men’s doubles semi-finals for the first time at the World Superseries Finals.

V Shem-Wee Kiong, who recently wrested their first ever world No. 1 ranking, recovered from a sluggish start to beat China’s Li Junhui-Liu Yuchen 18-21, 21-19, 21-19 in a 58-minute Group B match at the Hamdan Sports Complex in Dubai.
