RIO DE JANEIRO: Vivian Hoo-Woon Khe Wei just couldn’t stop the Japanese juggernaut.

The Malaysians crashed out of the women’s quarter-finals after going down to world No. 1 Misaki Matsutomo-Ayaka Takahashi for the eighth straight time – losing 16-21, 21-18, 9-21 in 72 minutes at the Riocentro Pavilion 4.
