KUALA LUMPUR: Five-time world champion Lin Dan of China has withdrawn from the US$1mil (RM4.2mil) BWF World Superseries Finals in Dubai due to injury.

He made it to the Finals after completing the 12-leg Tour as the fifth qualifier, but the Badminton World Federation (BWF) have announced that the two-time Olympic champion is getting treatment for an unspecified injury and will be the notable absentee in the finale, which begins on Wednesday.
