Hui Lin proud to see Ma Jin doing well

COPENHAGEN: Malaysia's Ng Hui Lin and China’s Ma Jin have built a strong friendship thanks to a joint training in China almost 10 years ago.

And Hui Lin is proud to see Ma Jin making big stride in China’s team.

Ma Jin is seeded second with Xu Chen in the mixed doubles of the World Championships while Hui Lin will be playing in the women’s doubles with her sister, Ng Hui Ern.

"Ma Jin is really good. I got to know her when I was 15-years-old and I am glad that we have kept this friendship going. She takes me for meals when I go to China and I do the same when she comes to Malaysia,” said Hui Lin, who caught up with her buddy during a practice session.

“I do look up to her. It is not easy in China to make it to the national team as the pool is huge. I think, she is one of the best woman players in the team. She is so good at the front court.”

Ma Jin won the world title with Zheng Bo at the 2010 edition in Paris and there is a good chance for her to win her second title.

Meanwhile, Hui Lin was happy that her sister, who suffered a stiff neck yesterday was back on court.

The duo have been drawn in the same half with eighth seeds Luo Ying-Luo Yu of China.
