Yin Fun makes the main draw in Johor


PASIR GUDANG: Lim Yin Fun justified her selection in the Malaysian squad for the Uber Cup Finals with a strong showing in the Malaysia Open Grand Prix Gold qualifying tournament at the Pasir Gudang Municipal Stadium.

Yin Fun, who has been earmarked for the Finals in New Delhi from May 18-25, dumped Sayaka Hirota of Japan 21-14, 21-15 in Tuesday’s opening round. She then went on to beat Wisara Makasasitorn of Thailand 21-17, 21-13 to join compatriots Tee Jing Yi and Yang Li Lian in Wednesday’s main draw.
