High jumper Nauraj sets new personal best in Canberra

KUALA LUMPUR: Two-time SEA Games gold medallist Nauraj Singh Randhawa went to Sydney last month to train and compete with Australian high jumper Brandon Starc, who has already qualified for the Rio de Janeiro Olympics in August.

But the Malaysian upstaged Starc to win the gold in the Canberra Track Classic on Saturday with a new personal best of 2.25m. His previous record of 2.22m was achieved also at this meet last February.
