Athletics: National athletes under par on the final day in Kangar

Adi Alifuddin Hussin twisted his ankle on the eve of competition day, but still managed to finish with a silver medal in shot putt.

KANGAR: National athletes Adi Alifuddin Hussin and Rayzam Shah Wan Sofian did not perform as expected as they settled for the silver medals on the final day of the 91st Malaysia Open Athletics Championships at the Tuanku Syed Putra Stadium in Kangar.

Adi, who holds the 17.76m men’s shot putt national record, blamed a freak accident on Thursday for his poor show in Kangar.
