PETALING JAYA: Archer Muhd Akmal Nor Hasrin (pic) was denied of a second quarter-final appearance in the opening leg of the World Cup in Shanghai, but he could still afford a smile.

The 22-year-old registered the biggest win of his career by beating 2012 Olympic gold medallist Oh Jin-hyek of South Korea in the third round of the men’s recurve individual event yesterday.
