Rozabil becomes Iris executive deputy chairman

KUALA LUMPUR: Iris Corp Bhd has appointed Destini Bhd group managing director Datuk Rozabil @ Rozamujib Abdul Rahman as its executive deputy chairman effective Aug 1.

Rozabil (pic), along with Datuk Paul Poh, recently emerged as Iris' substantial shareholders via their investment vehicle Caprice Development Sdn Bhd.

PETALING JAYA: The emergence of two influential new directors in Iris Corp Bhd is set to give the ailing information technology solutions provider a new lease of life.

Important role: Rozabil has diversified interests, ranging from construction and property development to trading. He also serves as director in several other private companies.

KUALA LUMPUR: Destini Bhd group managing director Datuk Rozabil @ Rozamujib Abdul Rahman and Caprice Capital International Ltd chief executive Datuk Paul Poh Yang Hong have been appointed non-executive directors of Iris Corp Bhd.

Rozabil is also a substantial shareholder of Destini, with a stake (direct and indirect) of 23.9%.

THHE-Destini JV wins RM739mil contract

PETALING JAYA: THHE Destini Sdn Bhd, a joint venture between offshore oil and gas facility fabricator TH Heavy Engineering Bhd (THHE) and Destini Bhd, has been awarded a contract worth RM738.90mil from the Government to build three offshore patrol vessels complete with fitting and accessories for the Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency.

Destini Bhd's Singapore-based unit Vanguard Composite Engineering makes life boats, fast rescue boats, and davit systems.
