Johor Sultan’s daughter becomes BAssets chairman

KUALA LUMPUR: The Johor ruler’s daughter, Tunku Tun Aminah Sultan Ibrahim Ismail, has been appointed chairman of Berjaya Assets Bhd (BAssets) effective today (Wednesday).

Tunku Tun Aminah is also chairman of REDTone International Bhd and president of the Johor Darul Ta’zim Football Club.

Johor Sultan raises stake in Berjaya Assets

PETALING JAYA: The Sultan of Johor, Sultan Ibrahim Ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar, has increased his stake in Berjaya Assets Bhd, making him the second-largest individual shareholder in the company that owns Berjaya Times Square.

Bigger stake: Sultan Ibrahim has acquired 80 million Berjaya Assets shares on Wednesday, raising his stake in the company to 10.09%.

Berjaya Assets looks to raise RM1bil for reclamation works in JB

KUALA LUMPUR: Berjaya Assets Bhd (BAssets) is looking to raise close to RM1bil via the equity markets to fund reclamation works for its 55-acre piece of land in Johor Baru, although the timeline is still fluid.

BAssets executive director Koh Huey Min(filepic) said at an investors briefing that BAssets had obtained the rights to reclaim 55 acres of seabed for development, situated beside its existing development Berjaya Waterfront Sdn Bhd.
