If it’s costly, let it go, it’s your choice

I AM sure that everyone has heard this slogan: “The power is in the hands of the consumers.” It means that consumers can shape business behaviour.

In a market-driven economy like ours, consumers’ purchasing power can demand that businesses behave ethically. But here in Malaysia, we tend to run to the authorities for protection instead. Yes, sometimes the authorities must step in but when businesses raise the prices of their products, there is nothing more potent than unleashing our inherent consumer’s power.
