WE refer to the letter “Forced to buy even throat lozenges from pharmacy” (The Star, April 14).
Common cold is usually a self-limiting illness and no specific therapy is indicated. In this regard, the Health Ministry would like to inform that lozenges for sore throat has not been listed in the Ministry of Health Medicines Formulary (MoHMF) since 1995.
