Throw the book at the BR1M cheats

IT is saddening to know that more than 6,000 Malaysians were found to have abused the 1Malaysia People’s Aid or BR1M scheme between 2012 and 2014 by making fraudulent claims, costing the Government over RM3mil in that period, “6000 made fraudulent BR1M claims” (The Star, Feb 21).

All citizens who have been receiving this subsidy should thank the Government for its care and concern in helping to reduce their financial burden.
