Ban on small packs must stay

I AGREE with Datuk Hatijah Ayob’s opinion “Everyone must try to stop sale of small packets” (The Star, Sept 18).

First of all, the ban on the sale of small packets of cigarettes, popularly known as kiddie packs, should stay and there should not be any debate at all about bringing them back. I am appalled with the retailers associations’ apathy in having no empathy towards the non-smoking community. They should abide by the decision made earlier by the Government.
