Balance tradition with modernity

I REFER to the Sarawak chief minister’s visionary mission of turning the state into a digital economy and renewal energy powerhouse. He has also envisioned the construction of a light rail transport (LRT) system from Kuching to Serian and the Indonesian border. In addition, there is also a proposal to build a deep-sea port at Tanjung Po to expand its import-export trade.

These infrastructure and economic projects show that Chief Minister Datuk Amar Abang Johari is a visionary leader who is passionate about the wellbeing of the people. When these initiatives come on stream, Sarawak would have initiated several nuclei of highly-concentrated development areas.
