Passengers too must speak up for safety

Rather than stop inside the space or lane closest to the bus shelter, such as this picture captured at the shelters outside the Asia Jaya LRT station, buses now stop on the main road to drop and pick-up passengers, as many do not wish to go on the dug-up pedestrian path which used to line the west-side of Jalan Utara.

WHENEVER bus accidents happen, fingers will be pointed at the driver, operator or the authorities but never the passengers.

Similarly, taxi drivers and companies are blamed for poor service without considering the passengers’ part in allowing the deplorable situation to develop. Passengers did not stand their ground and have allowed taxi drivers to dictate the terms.
