Keep up with product recalls

WE have come to the end of the first quarter of 2017 and it looks like it has been relatively quiet on the product safety front where Malaysians are concerned.

It’s quite the opposite, however. The European Union has issued 188 recall notices since Jan 1 in the children, toy, electrical appliances and household chemical product categories alone, with toys accounting for 67% of all the recalls. Slightly over 90% of all these recalls were categorised as a serious risk.
