THE article “What about a curfew?” (Sunday Star, Feb 26) had me shaking my head in disapproval as I started to read it. For a teenager like me, this “C” word brings up negative emotions and evokes memories of quarrels with parents over what time one is required to be at home after hanging out with friends, personal restrictions and burdensome expectations to behave as an adult while still being treated like a child.
Of course, I get that my parents are concerned about my safety with the crime rate being quite high, and I also understand the point about the necessity of getting a good night’s sleep. So I decided to read further, and I’m glad I did.
