In favour of motorcycle ride service ban

Kap chai motorcycles are still heavily used by local delivery service operators and by regular citizens as it is the more affordable option for transport in comparison to cars

I REFER to the letter “Ride service fills transport gap” (The Star, Feb 13) in which the writer plugs the “poor man” point that was also raised against the proposal to ban kap chai motorcycles from Kuala Lumpur city streets.

Neither the illegal Dego Ride service nor the banning of kap chai motorcycles from KL are issues of rich versus poor, contrary to how some portray them.
