Wooing more Chinese tourists here

I SHARE in the joy and success of the eVisa and waiver programmes which resulted in more Chinese tourist arrivals in 2016, prompting the Cabinet to consider a larger allocation to promote Malaysia as a destination of choice for visitors from China, “More Chinese tourist arrivals in 2016” (The Star, Jan 12).

Every country certainly wants a share of the China tourism pie, which accounts for some 64 million people travelling out of that nation annually. Malaysia is no exception as the numbers that enter the country are relatively small.
