Useful youth needed, not daredevils

I REFER to the reports “Ipoh mayor: No permission given for signboard stunt” and “Man flirts with death for ‘killer shot’” (The Star, Jan 2), and “Developers to probe trespass in youth’s crane climb” (The Star, Jan 3).

Of late, the public have been outraged by irresponsible, dangerous acts by young people. Last week, eight of them scaled a hill and pitched a hammock before posing for photographs with the “Ipoh” sign atop Gunung Lang in Jalan Kuala Kangsar.
