Concerted effort to curb Net addiction

I REFER to the report “Safety Net for kids” (Sunday Star, Dec 18). It is heartening to note that the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) is studying ways to nip Internet addiction in the bud.

Admittedly, it is a serious problem particularly among students, especially during the school holidays. Parents are struggling to find ways to prevent their children’s addiction to handphones.
