Caring young doctors

When I exited from the carpark of the Penang General Hospital, a young man held the lift door open while politely gesturing for me to come out. To my surprise, he was a doctor. Though it was just a small act of kindness, I was moved and I thanked him profusely. These days we seldom come across such well-mannered young men who show respect to older people.

I was on my way to the Oncology Department of the Penang General Hospital for my follow-up treatment.
