Go hard against anyone found littering

IT was unfortunate that the flash floods which occurred last Thursday in Kuala Lumpur damaged more than 100 cars and caused a nightmare to other motorists. When this kind of mayhem happens, we are quick to point our fingers at Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL), Alam Flora and even the MRT companies for not carrying out proper maintenance. But have we ever felt guilty or blame ourselves for littering?

It was reported by DBKL that the flash floods were largely due to rampant littering, caused by piles of rubbish severely clogging the drains that in turned caused the water to spill onto the roads.
