POST-independence, Malaysia has recorded an impressive economic growth record in the Asian region, with Gross Domestic Product expanding at an average rate of 6.5% per annum. Our economy, which was traditionally fuelled by natural resources, is now a newly industrialised market economy.
This economic accomplishment must be credited not only to all of us, but also our “foreign labour” friends who have toiled together with us, irrespective of race and religion, to achieve tangible results.
