Use JPJ manpower more effectively


I REFER to the report “JPJ goes all out to ensure safety” (The Star, Jan 29).

While it is laudable for the Road Transport Department (JPJ) to mobilise 1,800 personnel in a joint operation with the police, Department of Environment, and Immigration Department during the Chinese New Year festive period, it could be more effective with better use of available manpower.
