SENATOR Khairiah Mohamed’s recent tongue in the cheek comments in the Dewan Negara regarding the problems of pronunciation may be seen as a joke by many but these are real, everyday scenes in many Kelantan schools.
Presently, there are many teachers who teach English in the state without any qualifications in the field. In the first place they should not be carrying this burden.
