IT was heartbreaking to watch the Thomas Cup semi-finals when Malaysia took on Denmark and failed to make it to the final, despite taking a 2-0 lead.
Denmark went on to lift the cup by beating Indonesia, becoming the first non-Asian team to win the tournament since it began in 1948.
