THERE was a time when parking tickets in the Petaling Jaya municipality did not require the car’s registration number to be keyed in. The ticket only indicated the time and if I happen to be just making a quick stop to run an errand, I would pass on the ticket, with the remaining time, to the next person.
Sometimes, someone would extend the same offer to me and it would definitely make me smile. I thought it was a good way to encourage people to interact.
