Malaysia – not thinking about the nation’s future

WHATEVER was said or not said by the Chinese ambassador in Petaling Street not long ago – and whatever were his motives – the Malaysian reaction was disappointing to say the least. It worryingly reflects short-term thinking – particularly at the official and political level.
