Iran says U.S. recognition of Israel sovereignty over Golan is unacceptable

DUBAI (Reuters) - U.S. President Donald Trump's statement in favour of recognising Israel’s sovereignty over the occupied Golan Heights is unacceptable, an Iranian foreign ministry spokesman said on Friday, cited by state TV.

"This illegal and unacceptable recognition does not change the fact that it belongs to Syria," spokesman Bahram Qasemi said.
